UK Sustainability & Social Value Engagement Officer

Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery and continuous improvement of the client's UK Sustainability Strategy and associated implementation roadmap.
• Coordinate sustainability and social value initiatives across multiple business functions, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
• Develop high-quality sustainability communications, presentations, reports, briefing packs and awareness materials.
• Plan, organise and facilitate sustainability meetings, workshops and engagement events.
• Maintain sustainability action trackers, governance documentation and project status reports.
• Coordinate Sustainability Networks, ambassador programmes and employee engagement communities.
• Support the planning and delivery of Social Value programmes, employee volunteering initiatives and community engagement activities.
• Develop and maintain stakeholder engagement plans, ensuring effective collaboration between operational teams and central sustainability functions.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or blockers, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Create and maintain sustainability documentation, knowledge repositories and document management systems.
• Support the development and deployment of sustainability awareness campaigns and training programmes.
• Produce meeting minutes, action logs and governance reporting to support programme delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sustainability processes, communication and collaboration across the organisation.
• Support compliance with sustainability objectives and contribute to the successful delivery of corporate ESG commitments.

• Degree qualified in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Engineering, Business Management or a related discipline.
• Previous experience working within Sustainability, ESG, Environmental Management, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or Social Value programmes.
• Experience coordinating projects or working within Project Management or PMO environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple business functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience producing reports, presentations and communication materials.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
• Experience managing documentation, reporting and project governance activities.
