- Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders for materials and services based on MRP demand
- Follow up with suppliers to confirm order acknowledgments, delivery dates, and shipment status
- Expedite orders as needed to support production schedules and minimize shortages
- Collaborate with Planning, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality to ensure material availability and resolve supply issues
- Monitor open purchase orders and update delivery dates in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP)
- Resolve delivery, quality, and invoice discrepancies with suppliers
- Maintain accurate purchasing data and documentation within company systems
- Assist in evaluating supplier performance related to delivery and responsiveness
- Support inventory objectives by helping manage lead times and order quantities
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and standard operating procedures
- Contribute to team goals for On-Time Delivery, Quality, and continuous improvement initiatives

What will your role be?
The Buyer is responsible for procuring production hardware, materials, and services to meet customer commitments and production schedules. This role focuses on executing purchasing activities, maintaining supplier communication, and ensuring timely material availability. The Buyer supports issue resolution and contributes to continuous improvement in procurement processes.
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in a Buyer, Purchasing, or Supply Chain role (Aerospace or manufacturing preferred)
- Basic understanding of procurement processes and supply chain concepts
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and follow-up skills with internal teams and suppliers
- Ability to solve problems and escalate complex issues when needed
- APICS certification or coursework is a plus, but not required
