What will your role be? 

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer , specialized in stress analysis to perform the following activities: 

• Structural analysis and stress analysis: carrying out static, dynamic and thermomechanical analyses to assess stresses, strains, displacements and safety factors of mechanical components and structures.

• FEA/FEM analysis: development, preparation and validation of FEM models; definition of boundary conditions and load cases; interpretation of results and identification of any structural criticalities.

• Strength and fatigue analysis: assessment of component strength under static and fatigue conditions, with particular attention to failure modes, stress concentration, instability and crack propagation.

• Structural sizing: support for the design and sizing of mechanical components, identifying geometries, materials and design solutions capable of meeting requirements for strength, stiffness, weight and reliability.

• Materials analysis: assessment of the mechanical properties of materials and their behaviour under operating conditions, including temperature, pressure, cyclic loads, vibrations and environmental conditions.

• Regulatory compliance checks and technical documentation: drafting of calculation reports, technical documentation and project specifications, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, technical standards and company procedures.

• Production and quality support: collaboration with the Production and Quality departments in analysing structural issues, non-conformities, breakages or failures identified during the production and testing phases.

What are we looking for in you? Experience and competencies 

• Minumun 3 years experience in structural analysis, stress analysis or mechanical design of composite materials (carbon fiber, glass fiber, honeycomb, in multiple shape).
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience with FEM software.
• Knowledge of fatigue, buckling, vibration and structural dynamics analyses.
  experience in thermomechanical analysis.
• Knowledge of stress classification and failure assessment methodologies.
• Experience in correlating FEM simulations with experimental tests.
• Knowledge of data processing and analysis tools.
