What will your role be? 

We are looking for a Space Hardware Engineer to perform the following activities: 

• Requirements analysis
• Definition of electronic board specifications and preparation of the related product documentation
• Selection of electronic components based on the specifications defined for the project to be developed
• Support for prototype validation and testing activities
• Support for production during product industrialization
• Interface with the customer for defining Environmental/EMC qualification plans
• Preparation of qualification and testing plans for equipment
• Time/cost estimation for board design and preparation of related Gantt development plans
• Time/cost estimation for equipment qualification execution
• Interface with external laboratories for test planning
• Coordination of resources for testing and qualification activities
• Support in executing equipment qualification tests (environmental, electrical, EMC)

What are we looking for in you? Experience and competencies 

• Electronic CAD tools (preferably Mentor Expedition Designer)
• Electronic circuit simulators (LTSpice or similar)
• Military standards: MIL-STD-810 (Environmental), MIL-STD-704 (Power), and MIL-STD-461/MIL-STD-464 (EMC)
• Avionics standards: RTCA DO-160
• Strong knowledge of EMC issues and a problem-solving mindset
• Use of measurement and test equipment: spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, RF function generator, programmable power supplies, RF amplifiers, antennas, etc.
